General information, not legal advice
The guides, tools and assessment on this site give general information about cross-border estates, inheritance and property under the law of the jurisdictions each guide or tool names, as at 20 October 2026. They are not legal advice and are not a substitute for advice on your own situation. The law of another jurisdiction, or of a region or part of a country, may apply instead, and the law changes. Take advice from a qualified lawyer in the relevant jurisdiction before you act or decide not to act.
No lawyer-client relationship
Reading the site, using a tool, completing the assessment or emailing us does not create a lawyer-client or any other adviser-client relationship. Neither crossborderestate.com nor its operator, ASPECTERRA LIMITED, is a law firm, and neither is regulated as a law firm or legal practice in any jurisdiction.
Accuracy and currency
Each guide and tool lists the legislation and official sources it is drafted from and the date it was last updated against them. Where a tool relies on our reading of a rule, the page labels that reading as an interpretation. Check the sources, or ask an adviser, before relying on any date or figure.
Independent advisers and introductions
Advisers we may introduce you to are independent of us. An introduction is not a recommendation or a guarantee of their work, and we give no legal advice through it. Check an adviser's registration with their regulator before instructing them.
Tax information
Tax information on the site is general, for the tax year stated on each page, and assumes the residence status that page describes. Rates, allowances and regional rules change. We do not calculate tax amounts for you. Confirm your position with a qualified adviser or the relevant tax authority.
Third-party links
